Update (10/18/2017): Work has progressed along Navajo and Seneca as well as Lake Drive with significant headway since the last update on October 5. The first layer of asphalt (binder course) was placed on Seneca on October 17 which is a welcome sight. More work remains to be done and the following update assumes no weather delays:
In addition to the work on Navajo and Seneca Roads, the water service laterals have been installed along Lake Drive. The work remaining in this area includes backfilling the excavations, performing landscape restoration activities and completing the internal plumbing. It is anticipated that this work will be completed in the next couple of weeks.
Please note that the contractor will likely need to return to the site next spring to touch up the landscaped areas where vegetation does not become established.
Also, during construction activities, please place your leaves roadside as you normally have with one exception – keep the leaves a couple of feet off the shoulder of the road so that construction activities are not impacted. Our crews will continue to vacuum the leaves as normal and will be watching the construction schedule closely so that we can stay ahead of the contractor.
As always, should you have any questions, feel free to contact Scott Brandmeier, Director of Public Works, at email@example.com or 414-351-8900. Thank you again for your patience during this construction season.
